|Recommended: YesNice Outside, Rusty Inside — Outside is very nice. I like the entrance of the women's building. The inside of my apartment is very very dirty.

|Recommended: YesA Great Start — I think the Pines is a very safe place to start for a lot of students. Friendly ward, astounding maintenance crew, decent apartments the rooms can be a bit small and the dresser drawers are strangely shallow , but overall this is a very good place to be The price and ease of access to campus are a bonus as well

|Recommended: YesGood for the price, and kind community — While the apartments are certainly brushed up in the images posted online, they still are a fair quality to keep for the price range. The community here is kind, and they seem to get together well in friendship.

|Recommended: NoInconsistent cleaning standards and bad men's laundry room. — Clean checks are always a guessing game, either too strict or to loose compared to past checks. I've had roomates that had to clean up past resident's messes that were clearly looked over in the past and built up for longer than a semester. In addition, one of the employees came in my apartment for a weekly clean check and didn't come to me while I was in the prenium area I had no awareness that he she was even there at the time. Just strange and annoying.
Laundry room only seems to be the male's laundry room is not managed nor taken care of well policies are too vague or not kept. There need to be cameras watching in there or something so people can be held accountable for their crap. Is the change machine even usable Every time I consider it, it does not seem to be the case. The laundry paying system is fine on the phone and everything, but the way people will treat the room is very poor. I had a roomate who kept the laundry cart for himself for a couple days and didn't return it immediately after use. Shame on him, and that one guy who prematurely stopped my coin washing machine cycle just to take out my sopping wet clothes and put his in. Not the apartment's fault, but just some examples of complacent fellows.
Thank you for your review. We are actively working on helping the residents to keep the laundry room clean, including taking their clothes in a timely manner and not borrowing the laundry cart for more than a trip to their room and back. In regards to White Glove clean checks, we appreciate this information. We have a new janitorial supervisor and he is aware that there has been inconsistency in the past and is working toward making clean checks more consistent than they have been with other workers in the past. He reported back to me that he has spoken with you regarding this review and was able to clarify issues with you. Thank you for bringing all of these things to our attention.

|Recommended: YesIn a good spot — It's small with thin walls. Nice management. You only have 4 to an apartment instead of 6. it's in a good location though. Near campus and some restaurants, also it's right across the street from porter park.

|Recommended: YesA Worthwhile Place to Live — Though there are 6 girls and 2 bathrooms in each apartment, the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms have plenty of space to spread out in. Hardly ever feels cramped, and the ward is fantastic The Bishopric tries hard to include and get to know as many as possible. Really liked living here
