I would appreciate a bigger fridge and freezer though, It feels like they provided the smallest one made for 6 people who have their own groceries. For the most part, the noise isn't an issue at all and there are lots of parking spots available.

Pros Placement of the apartment and roommates. My roommates are super chill, the apartment is right next to the front door and I only have to go up and down a half-flight of stairs. I also like having the shelves in the bedrooms for the loft bed person to use for putting stuff in. Cons the shower is too low for me but that's more of a superficial thing. The previous tenants or whoever has broken a few things. The faucet for the kitchen sink is wobbly and it was like that before I or my roommates got there. Same with the fridge handle too. The loft bed is uncomfortable for me because I'm a tall guy and being two feet from the ceiling is not good for getting in and out of bed. I can go up the ladder but cannot go down because I essentially have to slide out the same way I came into the bed. Also, one plug outlet in the bedrooms really sucks. When you have two people living in the same room, it would be better if each roommate had their own plug outlets for their stuff, like the chargers for their phones and laptops. While management is initially nice, I told them that I was coming in Saturday and if I could check in with them that day. They basically told me to rely on roommates to get me in after hours, and if all else failed, to get the key from them on Monday. I was left in a real situation of almost not having a place to sleep for the first two nights because of that. Luckily, the situation was resolved but I am holding judgment on that for now. Otherwise, the apartment is serviceable and is a good place to live. It's good for people who want to live on the cheaper end of things but if you want a higher quality way of living, find a place around the Pines such as the Cedars or go even higher depending on your finances.

I understand it is an old building I was expecting some of the stuff that comes with living in an old building. However, what I was not expecting was to come into a dirty apartment building upon my first move in. I couldn't even actually move into my room because there was someone else moving out while I was trying to get in. And everything was dirty. Despite the problems I had moving in I only spoke to kind and accommodating staff when trying to solve some of these problems so I am grateful for that.

submitted by Samantha H. - |Recommended: YesIt’s a good life — The pines is a good place to live if you have the right people and if things are looked at before you move in but so far so good
submitted by Nicole P. - |Recommended: YesIts fine — I like it here but I don’t think it’s worth 350 a month. Our water heater has not been working consistently for the last few weeks.
response from property -Hi Nicole, Thank you for your review! I see that you had a work order early last month for a water heater issue that was closed out. If you are still having issues, please put in another work order so they can look into replacing your water heater! Thanks
submitted by Derrick B. - |Recommended: NoThe pines — The pines is a decent option to have only a few roommates. The amenities aren't very good as there is not many washing machines dryers and the other amenities are pretty worn out.
response from property -Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Derrick! We appreciate the feedback.
submitted by Ashley R. - |Recommended: YesFeels like Home with Great Response Time Amazing Staff — Other residents can be heard from the hallway but cannot when you're in your apartment. If you are not on the top floor, you can hear the upper floor tenants being loud with bangs on the floor. My room only had two outlets in total giving limited places to plug stuff in. My outlet was connected with the adjacent room. If my outlet did not work, the other room's light would work and vise versa. The maintenance staff was great about responding to maintenance requests right away. When I had the issue with my outlet, the maintenance guy was unable to completely fix it because it was due to a wiring issue that was produced when the building was built, but he was able to have it sit in a certain place so it would work in my room and the other, although it wasn't a permanent fix. He never gave up until he was able to make it work. He also offered to remove my bunk bed to make me feel safe since it would move a lot, but I wouldn't be able to have a desk so I didn't get a new bed. He did make sure to check out the bunk bed that the bolts were all in tightly so I would be safe. I also love when the staff hosts fun events on Fridays I always look forward to it.

I am happy to hear that you have had positive encounters with our maintenance team and they have been able to create solutions for you! submitted by Isabel H. - |Recommended: YesBe quick — You need to get a parking pass like, months in advance cause they don’t have enough parking for how many residents they have. The walls are pretty thin but I think we are the only ones with crazy neighbors XD. I don’t see any staff or owners so I can’t say much about them. It is VERY icy at the back door cause they don’t shovel often enough tho. But the apartments are good for eating, sleeping and it’s a relaxing 10 minute walk from campus
response from property -Thank you for sharing your review with us, Isabel! We appreciate the feedback. Our maintenance staff has been working on the ice issue and I hope you have seen an improvement as we have!

submitted by Konstannce L. - |Recommended: YesPretty Good — My Pines apartment was clean when I showed up and is decent. The furniture is not that comfortable and the doors and windows let in air. But it is otherwise a nice place.
response from property -Thank you for sharing this feedback with us, Konstannce. We appreciate you!
submitted by Benjamin W. - |Recommended: YesThe Pines — The apartment complex is placed in an effective area, campus is close and there's food places all around it. Though the shower is a little short.
response from property -Thank you for sharing your review, Benjamin! We appreciate the feedback.
